A part of culture is endangered! The oldest and, as some people say, the best TV-programme is in danger of termination. As alert and responsible viewers we are called upon to prevent the reckless disposal of innocent and therefore not merchandisable electromagnetic appearances.

The testpattern is clean, objective, informative, solid, non-violent, inexpensive and clear. It is by definition an ideal picture featuring everything television is able to offer. As with no other TV picture the testpattern broadcasts a silent reminder to TV-makers and TV-users simply one message: turn off your tele!
